3D Printing & Astro: My DIY Journey!
My 3D Printing Journey for Astro Gear
(Update: April 6, 2019) This post originally documented my adventures with a more basic 3D printer, but I’ve since upgraded to a much more precise Prusa i3 MK3!
For over six months now, I’ve been tinkering with a 3D printer I bought as a kit from a Chinese website. Lately, I’ve started using it to print some really handy “astro” parts. For instance, I’ve just printed some polar scope caps for my EQ6 mounts, and even a Canon EF to 2” adapter. The results are absolutely perfect for my needs, and these parts cost me next to nothing!
