The Canon 60D Meets the Taka FS-60CB

Going Wide: My Canon 60D Meets the Takahashi FS-60CB

The field of view from my Starlight Xpress Trius-H694 on the FLT110 TEC is fantastic for a huge number of deep-sky objects, but for a while now, I’ve been dreaming of pairing my Canon 60D with my trusty little Takahashi FS-60CB. Well, dream no more – it’s finally happened!

Here’s the setup: FS-60CB Tube - Rotator - 0.72x Reducer - Takahashi Wide T-Ring - Canon 60D. 002.jpg

With the 0.72x focal reducer, the field of view captured by the 60D is just incredible (a whopping 5x3.4 degrees!). For comparison, the H694 on the FLT110 gives me about 1x1.25 degrees (that tiny rectangle in the center, see below): 003.jpg
