My Black Hole Talk in Montpellier

Diving into Black Holes (and Making New Astro-Friends!)

Last night, I had the fantastic opportunity to catch a lecture by the renowned Jean-Pierre Luminet! The topic? “Light and Black Holes,” held at the Galileo Planetarium right here in Montpellier. It was super interesting, though I felt it went a tad fast. Thankfully, the Q&A session afterward was just what we needed! It filled in some crucial details and let us settle into a much more comfortable rhythm.

What made the evening even better was connecting with several folks from the Aniane Observatory! I’m definitely going to make a point of visiting them for a future observing session.

Seriously, if you’re into astronomy, the history of science, literature, or even poetry, I highly recommend checking out Jean-Pierre Luminet’s blog. It’s a true delight, a real treasure trove of knowledge!

Oh, and a heads-up: the next talk at the Montpellier planetarium is on Thursday, April 9th. The topic? Galaxies!
