First H-Alpha Light with the New Setup!

Deep Sky Delights: Early Results with the SXVR-H18

Alright, folks! Here are my very first H-alpha and luminance results captured with my new SXVR-H18 and its filter wheel setup. Just click on any image to dive into the full-resolution versions!

The Butterfly Nebula:

    • Capture Date: 2012-08-21
    • Ha Exposure: 6h00 (18x1200s)

M106:

    • Capture Date: 2012-05-17
    • Luminance Exposure: 6h40 (40x600s)
    • Red Filter Exposure: 2h00 (24x300s)
    • Green Filter Exposure: 2h00 (24x300s)
    • Blue Filter Exposure: 2h00 (24x300s)

M16:

    • Capture Date: 2012-07-23
    • Ha Exposure: 3h00 (36x300s)

The Pelican Nebula:

    • Capture Date: 2012-08-23
    • Ha Exposure: 4h00 (12x1200s)

Here’s the same Pelican Nebula, but with a color layer I captured using my Canon 350D back in 2009 for comparison: The North America Nebula:
