Friends, Balloons, and the Edge of Space!

My astrophotographer friends from the Spanish Basque Country have successfully launched a stratospheric balloon, and they just sent me the first images! This project is absolutely incredible, and I highly recommend you discover it on their website!

The balloon reached an incredible altitude of 29,000 meters and brought back some truly breathtaking images. We’re planning to launch another balloon from France in the summer of 2014…
