My NEQ-6 Gets a Dual-Format Dovetail Upgrade

My NEQ-6, now happily installed outdoors on a low pier, had one tiny flaw. Originally, it shipped with a simple Losmandy dovetail clamp. But the newer versions? They come equipped with a sweet dual-format Losmandy/Vixen dovetail. Most of my gear for outdoor imaging is Vixen-equipped, and I’d been on the hunt for a solution to this little compatibility mismatch for a while.

And then Pierro Astro totally came through, offering up a dual dovetail clamp for the EQ6. Turns out, it’s the exact same dual-format saddle that ships with the newer NEQ-6 models! Bingo!
