And the Winner Is... Us!
An Astronomical Win to Remember!
We’ve literally just walked through the door after three incredible days at “Ciel en Fête” at the Cité de l’Espace in Toulouse! This event was part of the global 100 Hours of Astronomy celebrations for the International Year of Astronomy, and what an experience it was. It’s with immense joy and excitement that I get to announce a HUGE win: we snagged first prize in the big contest!
The grand prize? A Celestron C11 Carbon Fiber OTA and a Skywatcher N-EQ6 mount (complete with a Losmandy dovetail and an extended counterweight bar). This incredible package is valued at a whopping 4800€!
But wait, there’s more! My amazing wife also snagged a fantastic prize, coming in at 16th place: an unforgettable night at Pic du Midi!
I want to extend a special shout-out and massive thanks to Jocelyn Dujon and Lionel Gadet from Médas, and to Céline and Sébastien Vauclair from Cosmodiff - La Clef des Etoiles who, together, made this incredible prize possible!
Over these three days, we met so many amazing people, each one more friendly and interesting than the last. Thank you, everyone, for making it such a memorable event!
