Exploring the ZWO ASI 120 Clone
Meet the Datyson T7: My Quest for an Affordable Autoguider!
A fascinating post on the webastro forum inspired me to order a Chinese clone of the ZWO ASI 120. So, let me introduce you to the Datyson T7! I opted for the monochrome model for better efficiency, as my plan is to use it as an autoguider for my portable DSLR setup (80/480). The price point is fantastic, so now it’s just a matter of testing the camera in a real-world scenario, which I’m hoping to do tonight if the weather cooperates. The packaging is pretty basic, but everything you need is included:

It even comes with a wide-angle lens for those who might want to turn it into an all-sky camera – pretty cool!

No need to bother with the tiny CD that comes with the camera; you can just download the latest drivers directly from the official ZWO website :-)))

Mounted on the DSLR setup:

I also took the opportunity to revisit the assembly behind the TSFLAT 2 and optimize the backfocus.
